Hold an Australian driver licence (non-learner/provisional) for at least 3 years, including the year immediately prior to applying

Complete a TLI41225 Certificate IV in Motor Vehicle Driver Training

Submit an application for the Ancillary Certificate in Driving Instruction

Have no criminal, traffic, drug, alcohol-related or theft convictions within the last 5 years

Drive an approved dual-control training vehicle
